Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives:
Qualitative research methods course aims to introduce the qualitative research techniques, which is a research method that is increasingly published among educational researches, to the participants. Qualitative research methods in education sciences, qualitative research design, data collection and data analysis techniques in qualitative research will be examined within the scope of the course.

Course content • Definition of qualitative research and its place in the tradition of scientific research • Properties and types of qualitative research (biography, phenomenology, ground theory), ethnography (ethnography) case study research) • Qualitative research planning • Creation of research questions • Data collection methods. Interview • Data collection methods. Observation • Data collection methods. Document review • Quality and reliability • Data analysis • Using qualitative research results.
