Course Objectives: | While translating literary texts the objective is to consider the strategies of translaton and to apply them in the translation of different types of literary texts. |
Course Content: | Literary texts are chosen that are not translated into Turkish. The cultural context of those texts are discussed since it is important to make the students aware of the norms that are important for cultural transfer by use of translatiın. Different types of literary texts of different genres are chosen to be translated by students at home and then make comparisons between their translations in class. |
