Course Objectives: | The purpose of this course is to present a comprehensive study of the anatomy and physiology of the human body. Topics include body organization; homeostasis; cytology; histology; and the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous systems and special senses. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of principles of anatomy and physiology and their interrelationships. |
Course Content: | . recognize and identify the anatomical structures of body systems • recognize and identify the physiological functions of body systems • recognize and identify the interrelationships within and between anatomical and physiological systems of the human body. • describe and discuss a vocabulary of appropriate terminology to effectively communicate information related to anatomy and physiology. • describe and discuss anatomical knowledge to predict physiological consequences, and use knowledge of function to predict the features of anatomical structures. |
