Course Objectives:

This course, using the reading and examples, cultural institutions and venues of specific processes in Turkey Turkey, aims to inform dynamics and perspectives on the subject.

Course Content:

• To define the relation of popular culture to economic, political and social processes
• Gaining the ability to question the role of the media in the society and thus having the necessary critical thinking skills
• To gain critical thinking about popular culture with the help of reading
• To analyze the development of cul- ture in parallel with historical and sociological developments
• Analyze the structure of the media fed by popular culture in Turkey ATME
