Course Objectives: | This course aims to provide students with a theoretical and practical perspective by analyzing current developments in inheritance law. In particular, legal amendments made in recent years, high court decisions and international regulations will be discussed. Students will develop their ability to interpret innovations within the framework of the basic principles of inheritance law and to analyze them in practice. |
Course Content: | Within the scope of the course, the basic principles and classical concepts of inheritance law will be reviewed. Then, the legal regulations that have emerged in recent years and the precedent decisions of the Court of Cassation and the Constitutional Court on inheritance law will be examined in detail. Modern issues such as the transfer of digital assets to heirs, sustainable succession planning and the division of inheritance in family businesses will be discussed. In addition, international inheritance law and regulations in different countries will be evaluated comparatively. In addition to theoretical lectures, the course will be supported by case analysis, court decision analysis and interactive discussions. |
