Aim of the Programme

Especially the technological developments that have accelerated in the last thirty years have led to a radical transformation in social and economic relations, and this has resulted in the emergence of many new legal institutions and important changes, especially in Private Law. The need for lawyers, who can contribute to overcoming the hesitations in theory and practice, is increasing day by day by interpreting these innovations and developments, which have reached legal grounds as a result of intense legislative activities in recent years, in our country.

High knowledge through comprehensive studies and detailed scientific research to be carried out in specific fields such as Capital Market Law and IT Law, as well as the branches of law that come to mind within the scope of Private Law PhD Program within the body of Istanbul Okan University Social Sciences Institute, Civil Law, Law of Obligations and Commercial Law. It is a program that aims to train lawyers with knowledge and expertise and to reveal original theses and scientific researches that contribute to science.

The Private Law Doctorate Program is open to the participation of academicians, judges, prosecutors and lawyers, as well as bureaucrats and managers from all levels, both private and public, aiming to be competent at the doctoral level in this field.
