Course Objectives: | This course comprehensively covers traditional and digital distribution channels used in the insurance sector to deliver policies to customers. It also focuses on distance insurance transactions that have gained importance with the development of technology — that is, insurance contracts made via internet, telephone and similar remote communication tools. Within the scope of the course, students learn the functioning, advantages and legal framework of distribution channels such as bancassurance, agencies, brokers, digital platforms and direct sales methods. Legal regulations to be considered in distance insurance sales, consumer rights and innovations brought by digitalization are also important topics of the course. |
Course Content: | This course comprehensively covers the various distribution channels that enable products and services to be delivered to customers in the insurance sector. While students learn about traditional distribution methods such as agents, brokers and bancassurance practices, they also analyze contemporary methods such as online platforms, direct sales and telemarketing that have emerged as a result of digitalization. |
